Rita McGrath

Ms. Rita McGrath is the Executive Director of Operations at the IHLAD, where she brings a wealth of experience as a former Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director in the healthcare sector.

As Executive Director, Rita provides strategic leadership across essential operational areas, including facilities, quality, supply chain, and biomedical services. She drives initiatives to enhance efficiency, regulatory compliance, and service quality, while developing systems and plans that support growth, resource optimization, and alignment with IHLAD’s long-term objectives. As part of IHLAD’s expansion, she is overseeing the commissioning of new healthcare facilities to ensure the highest standards of quality and patient care.

With a diverse background in healthcare and executive roles across multiple countries, Rita has led strategic initiatives and developed national policies focused on patient-centered healthcare. Her expertise spans strategic planning, resource optimization, and operational excellence. Known for managing multi-disciplinary teams, she has a proven track record in driving large-scale operational improvements and quality initiatives that elevate patient satisfaction.

Rita holds an MBA and is currently a PhD candidate in International Business at Southern New Hampshire University, with expected completion in 2025. She is also a Fellow with Board Certification in Healthcare Management from the American College of Healthcare Executives and a Certified Healthcare Executive with the Canadian College of Healthcare Leaders. In addition, she serves as a mentor at NYU Abu Dhabi, supporting emerging leaders in healthcare.
