The Abu Dhabi Department of Health, in collaboration with the Institute for Healthier Living Abu Dhabi (IHLAD) and the Healthy Longevity Medicine Society (HLMS), has launched a groundbreaking initiative, making the United Arab Emirates the first country to implement evidence-based licensing standards for Healthy Longevity Medicine facilities. This historic move positions Abu Dhabi as a global leader in proactive aging care and healthspan optimization through rigorous clinical guidelines. The framework establishes the Institute for Healthier Living Abu Dhabi as the first licensed facility to offer cutting-edge therapeutic solutions and precision care, utilizing advanced diagnostics and targeted lifestyle interventions to support healthy aging.
By setting comprehensive clinical practice guidelines, the UAE advances its leadership in redefining healthcare standards. Dr. Nicole Sirotin, CEO of the Institute for Healthier Living Abu Dhabi and HLMS Council Member, emphasized the milestone as a transformative step toward a healthier population. This initiative aligns with Abu Dhabi’s vision to deliver a health system that proactively manages aging, enhances health outcomes, and reduces age-related disease burdens while supporting the UAE’s aspirations for excellence in life sciences, healthcare, and innovation.
